Do It Yourself Fruit & Veggie Wash

Watch This short video or read the recipe below for my homemade fruit and veggie spray.

This recipe is similar to the natural cleaning spray recipe.

Natural Anti-Bacterial Ingredients

I choose these ingredients specifically for killing any bacteria or parasites that may be present on produce.  It also helps get rid of some of the chemicals on non-organic produce.

Be sure to purchase grapeFRUIT seed extract rather than grapeseed which is a supplement well known for being an anti-oxidant and it is NOT the same thing as grapefruit seed extract.  You will want to buy the liquid form which may be found at your local health food or vitamin store.

Grapefruit seed extract may be used internally in very small amounts for ridding the body of parasites, including candida (bad yeast).  It’s also great to use for sanitizing cutting boards in your kitchen.  Some people that I know put a drop of it in their pets water bowl to help keep their parasite level low but please consult your veterinarian first.

2 cups filtered water

1 cup white distilled vinegar

1 Tablespoons baking soda (be careful it will have a volcano effect when added to vinegar, so add this to your bottle in the sink!)

10 drops Grapefruit Seed Extract*

I spray about 3 – 4 sprays over a colander full of vegetables or fruit, then I rinse it well with water.

Please feel free to contact me on Facebook  or leave your comments below.

Be well!
